This album was released on the Leeds Independent Label (LIL) in 1985. Parkside Shivers was a
significant milestone in the Rose's career. This was a sampler
album issued by LiL, where Parkside was the studio where the Rose
had held their initial recording sessions. The album contains
selection of artists that were using the studio. It is presumably
the studio where the band first met future guitarist Glenn Shultz. As Paul said, this was
their first major step as people could hear their tracks for the
first time, and they could then start to promote something.
